Privacy policy
How Voltframe collects, uses and protects information. Written to be read, not to hide behind.
Last updated: 14 August 2026
What we collect
Two kinds of information: operational data from the buildings you connect, and contact details you give us.
- Operational data — interval meter readings, equipment status, and the utility invoice. We do not collect occupant data, video, or personal information from within your buildings.
- Contact data — name, work email, company and what you tell us when you request a demo or use the product.
How we use it
To reconcile energy data against your bill, produce savings recommendations, run the product, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train models sold to third parties.
Read-only by design
Voltframe integrations are read-only. We ingest data and status; we never send control commands to your equipment.
How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), isolated per tenant, and access is role-based with full audit logging. See our security page for detail.
Retention
We retain raw interval data only as long as your contract requires, plus what’s needed to verify past savings claims. You can request export or deletion at any time.
Sharing
We share data only with subprocessors needed to run the service (hosting, error monitoring), under contract, and with your utility where you’ve authorized it for demand-response settlement.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA), you can access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Email privacy@voltframe.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.
